FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the recipient's phone number required at checkout?
On occasion, the recipient's address may be entered incorrectly at checkout (e.g. wrong house number), resulting in a delayed delivery. Contacting the recipient is the fastest way for us to verify an address and ensure someone is home to receive the flowers. Delivery cannot be guaranteed without the recipient's number.

Where do you source your flowers from?
The majority of our roses come from growers in Columbia and Ecuador. Our other flower varieties are sourced locally (whenever possible), as well as imported from Holland, Italy and South Africa. We also grow certain flower varieties on-site, including: peonies, blue thistle, allium, hydrangea, cosmos and dahlias.

Do vase arrangements include the exact vase pictured?
Absolutely! We match our arrangements with premium ceramic and glass vases whenever possible. In cases where there is a supply shortage, the product description will say so, and an alternate (but similar) vase will be used.

What makes us different than other florists?
We are a floral boutique serving the Greater Toronto Area. We take great pride in creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces – nothing cookie cutter here!

How long will my flowers last?
The vast majority of flowers (including roses) will last up to 7 days in a vase, with certain other varieties lasting two or more weeks (e.g. carnations, alstroemeria, freesia, lilies, chrysanthemums, orchids). We provide a care tag with our arrangements and recommend following the instructions provided.

When will my order be delivered?
Orders are delivered according to the date selected at checkout. Deliveries are made up until 6pm. You will receive a notice via email once flowers are dropped off.

What happens if nobody is home at the time of delivery?
We ask that you provide the recipient's phone number during checkout so that we can ensure a successful delivery. In the event that nobody is home (or a concierge service is unavailable), and inclement weather poses a risk, flowers will be returned to our shop and a re-delivery will be coordinated; a re-delivery fee will apply.

Do you offer timed deliveries?
Yes – please call us to coordinate any timed deliveries; a surcharge will apply. Please note that timed deliveries are not possible during the week leading up to Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

How is a hand-tied arrangement different than a mixed bouquet?
Hand-tied arrangements are carefully crafted, paying close attention to the placement of each flower. Design styles will vary from traditional round to contemporary boho-chic. Hand-tied arrangements are ready to drop into a vase upon delivery. Mixed bouquets, on the other hand, include a variety of loose flowers that are gift-wrapped – ready for your own creative arranging!

Do arrangements include the exact flower varieties and colours pictured?
Since fresh cut flowers are a perishable item and availability varies by season, we must substitute flowers on occasion (of equal or better value). We always try to preserve the original colour scheme and flower types whenever possible.

How do I take care of my flowers?
Upon delivery, we recommend recutting stems and placing flowers into a vase with warm water and the flower food provided. We recommend changing water every couple of days.

What is your cut-off time for same-day delivery?
Same-day delivery is offered to select local areas only, listed on our Delivery Area page. Order cut-off time is 12pm EST.

Where do you deliver?
We deliver across the Greater Toronto Area. See our Delivery Area page for full details.

Do you create sympathy pieces for funerals?
Yes – sympathy flowers are available for delivery to an individual's home or to a funeral service. We coordinate all deliveries with the funeral home in advance, so you can rest assured that your flowers will arrive in time.

Can you create a custom piece for me or alter an existing arrangement?
Most definitely. Please email or call to speak with one of our designers.

Do you create flower arrangements for weddings and events?
We regularly prepare flowers for home and corporate events, as well as weddings. Please email or call for more information.
